Supply chain finance programs have proliferated in recent years, with more and more corporates formalizing their programs and looking for technology to help. Looking ahead, the market is expected to continue to expand, with more banks providing more SCF services.
Accompanying this growth is the ongoing push for more streamlined technology and more mobile solutions for corporates. Enter the app. You can use them to play games, edit photos, find your mate…and now manage your SCF program. According to Deutsche Bank, the company has redesigned more than 150 electronic services on its Autobahn offering, which integrates the bank’s electronic products and services, into apps. This has made them easier to access and use.The latest addition is the Financial Supply Chain Manager, an app with multi-currency and multi-lingual capabilities that enables users to access receivables and supplier finance solutions through one central access point, and it can be integrated with ERP systems to facilitate electronic data transmission.
Is this the start of more to come? Given the current demand from corporates for better mobile banking offerings along with a push for automation in SCF programming, it seems likely. And this kind of one-stop management shop offered by DB could be a real boon to those looking for more efficiency – and perhaps something to look for from other suppliers.
“By making our…supply chain solutions accessible through Deutsche Bank’s Autobahn App Market, our clients will enjoy unprecedented ease of access and usability, not only to our receivables and payables finance solutions, but also to many other Deutsche Bank products and services,” said Rick Striano, Global Head of Product Management, Trade & Financial Supply Chain at Deutsche Bank, in a statement.
