In the Beginning: Corporate Use of Credit Derivatives

In light of recent news that Blythe Masters, credited with creating credit derivatives, is leaving JP Morgan, we unearthed this early look at “Corporate Uses for Credit Derivatives,” from the March 31, 1997 issue of International Treasurer. Joyce Frost from Chase’s credit derivatives group is featured, pre-merger with JP Morgan, but presumably Chase’s team got rolled into Ms. Masters’ group in due course.
