Lance Whitney joined The NeuGroup in 2006 as a Web editor and designer to create and maintain the company’s websites. In his current role as webmaster, he manages the NeuGroup’s multiple customer-interfacing websites and edits and posts content for the company’s home page, neugroup.com, and for its flagship newsletter, itreasurer.com.

Mr. Whitney came to The NeuGroup with a background in journalism, web design, and information technology. A professional journalist for the past 20 years, he has written articles and columns for national computer and technology publications. He currently writes news stories and columns for CNET, Microsoft TechNet, and other Websites and online publications. His first book — Windows 8 Five Minutes at a Time — was published by Wiley & Sons in 2012.

He was a systems analyst for Ciba Specialty Chemicals for ten years, where he supported global software applications and created content for the company’s Intranet.

Mr. Whitney has a B.A. in Journalism from Iona College in New Rochelle, New York. In his spare time he enjoys hiking, biking, and improv.
